The daily slides presentations are labeled by class name, week, and day of the week. For instance, with the label NMH2-1, the two tells you it is a slide show we used in New Mexico History during the second week and the one tells you it was the first slide show of that week.

- Step 1: Make a list of 15 events from 10,000 BCE to 1890 CE in New Mexico History.
- Step 2: From the list of 15 events, pick 10 to chart on a timeline.
- Step 3: Write a 1/2 page description of one event or historical figure (check with Mr. Guffey that your event isn't already taken by someone else in class).
- Step 4: Illustrate your chosen event/historical figure. This will be displayed on a large timeline in class for the rest of the semester, so take your time.
- Step 5: Present your illustration and event description to the class.

- In-class reading, video and discussion: Albuquerque Protesters Take Over City Council. Discussion can be made up by writing a short response to the story and video. The short response should summarize the main information from the article and your opinion on the information. (25 points)

- This project is worth 125 points. The list below will give you a breakdown of what is evaluated for the total of 125 points.

- Find 5 to 6 images online of your place and put them in either a Google Slides or Docs file. Make sure this is in your shared work folder. (30 points)

- To review for the end of course exam you will need to take the pre-test linked here. Then make flash cards for every question you miss. The flash cards will need to have the question on one side and the correct answer on the other side.

Extra Credit
The following activities are available for extra credit (25 points each) or to remove an absence (maximum of 3 absences can be removed).
Option #1
If you bring a receipt or ticket stub from any New Mexico museum you will receive 25 points extra credit. If you would like to double your extra credit, write two paragraphs about what you saw at the museum, which exhibits you enjoyed, and what you found the most surprising or interesting. For a list of museums in Albuquerque, click here, or if that link is blocked click here. *Note: despite being included on one of the lists, Explora won't count for extra credit for this class.

If you watch a full episode of New Mexico True and take notes using this template, you can get 25 points extra credit OR remove one absence.
